Intern Program
The Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation Intern Program provides opportunities for individuals to expand their leadership skills, obtain professional development training, support community service and volunteerism for the betterment of our area, along with gaining experience in their summer work environment.
The purpose of the K/PACEDC Intern Program is to provide college students with an opportunity to learn and receive on the job training for the future. Through this program, Interns have the opportunity to meet area CEOs and business leaders, participate in skill building sessions, and learn the importance of giving back to the community by contributing to the Intern Food Drive service project.
Overall, the Interns are able to take with them great experience, as well as gain insight and lifelong mentors that can guide and support them in future endeavors.

- Pharmacists Mutual’s Human Resource and Social Media Managers share how to maintain a professional social media and LinkedIn presence when looking to join the workforce
June 23 – Emotional Intelligence
- Join us for this informative training by Alison VanOtterloo that focuses on developing the ability to recognize, understand, and manage your emotions while effectively navigating the emotions of others in the workplace.
June 30 – Mock Interviews and Resume Review
- This training is designed to help participants build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and receive encouraging, constructive feedback to feel more prepared for real interviews along with resume review.
July 7 – Manage Your Money
- Learn from banking and investment professionals as they share their insights on the best way to manage your money, loans, credit cards, how to understand your credit score, and different investment strategies.
August 5 – County Wide Breakfast
